More casting for "Urban Legend 2", the film is now still a sequel horror film but more of a thriller according to Variety. It will also star, Jennifer Morrison (Stir of Echoes, Intersection), Matthew Davis, Jessica Chauffiel, Anthony Anderson (Alien Avengers and LIFE) and Loretta Devine returns as the security guard. The story sounds very similar to CUT and SCREAM 3, while being slapped on the ass by The Blair Witch Project. It follows a bunch of students who are making a film, but they all start getting killed off. (CSO)

House of Secrets, will be written by Robert Zappia (H20) still not much word on the plot of the film. (CSO)

David Arquette has shaved off his Dewey facial hair after finishing the shoot for "Scream 3" and has told the following about the plot to POPCORN, "It's kind of weird because we're not supposed to tell too much, [b]ut I'll just say she works in a studio and the whole movie takes place in Hollywood… It's behind the scenes of a movie. There's cast members that are actually playing Courtney's character and my character and stuff like that."

Wednesday the 29th of September 99

Hopkins will definately be in "Hannibal" directed by Ridley Scott with an ending differeing from the novel. According to CSO.

Hank Zane has written a screenplay for the remake of "Terror Train".. According to a rumor on Darkhorizons the film will begin shooting in as soon as four months.. The star selection for the film has not yet been confirmed.

"Brimstone" will be resurrected on the SCI-FI channel.. It is now screeing in Australia and I have been keenly watching it.. I'm glad that the internet buzz has gained it a second series. (CSO)

"Urban Legend 2" will star Joey Lawrence (Blossum TV series and failed music career), now billing himself as Joseph will be playing the role of a 'slick film student who feels pressured to follow in the footsteps of his famous film studio mogul father.' (CSO) filming begins October 12.

Scream 3 will release Feb 4 y2k. (CSO)

"Scream 3" has had it's release date pushed back to February 2000. Principal photography is likely to wrap in the next 2 days.. Silent Bob and JAy from the Kevin Smith films may end up getting a cameo.. Well both are Miramax so I guess it would not be unheard of.. (DH) on www.wescraven.com, the director confirmed for the first time that Liev Schreiber would be attached to the project. "[L]ast night ended the 3rd to last day of shooting, ending Liev Schreiber's days on the pic. We've already finished Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and most of the others. Courteney Cox and Parker Posey work Tuesday to end their work, and we have one last day, Wednesday, with Kelly [Rutherford] from Melrose Place. Then that's it!

"Also, the release date has officially been pushed back to Feb 7, 2000, due to the crowded slate of December - when it seems everybody and his brother is releasing a big film."

"Cut" is due for an EASTER 2000 release according to a newspaper in Sydney Australia

A trailer for "The Green Mile" has finally popped up.. I think this will be one of the biggere Supernatural hits of the year.. May even rival "The Sicth Sense".. Although this will be more subtle. 4.2 meg mov.. from the OFFCIAL SITE. (DH)

More "Sleepy Hollow" pictures.. (CSO)

US BOX OFFICE

RIP GEORGE C. SCOTT, Horror fans will know him from "The Exorcist III" , "Firestarter", and "The Changeling". He also played the role of John Proctor accused of Witchcraft in the 1967 TV adaption of the Arthur Mille play, "The Crucible". But George C. Scott will be best remembered for his 4 Oscar Nominations, including winning best ACTOR in 1971 for his portrayal as Patton in the same film. He also won a Golden Globe in that role in 1970. He has won recently a Emmy and Golden Globe in 1998 for his role in the TC remake of "12 angry Men.". Scott leaves behind a Widow and 2 sons.

More pictures from "Sleepy Hollow" (CSO).

More "End of Days" pictures have popped up at Cinescape. (CSO) Cinescape also reports that the ending is being reshot with the possibility of a new fate for Jericho. Cinescape also posted a very good plot outline. The film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 24th, tells the story of an ex-cop, Jericho Cane (played by Schwarzenegger) who finds himself pulled into a web of supernatural intrigue when he discovers that the fate of mankind rests with the safety of a woman who is pursued by the ultimate evil. Confronted by a villain who he cannot defeat with conventional methods, Jericho desperately searches for a way to prevail, but to do so, he must regain faith in himself and overcome the tragic loss of his family. (CSO)

Richard O'brien is half finished penning a sequel to "The Rocky Horror Show 2". Some may have called "Shock Treatment" the sequel but no.. O'Brien will be setting the next musical 9 months after the original as Janet gives birth to.. WHAT.. We'll find out I guess.. Who's the father.. Well.. (CSO)

"Cast of Characters" a screenplayu by Larry Cohen (It's Alive, Q, Maniac Cop 2/3). It is Victorian thriller that has recently been bought by Centropolis entertainment. (CSO)

Universal has bought a script by Michael Besman called "Lightning".. It is based on a book by Sheri Reynolds called, "A Gracious Plenty". It tells the story of Finch who is burnt by hot water accident as a child and becomes a recluse and Starts talking to the dead, and finds out about the towns DARK secrets.. (CSO)

"The Sixth Sense 2" they're back.. According to Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall it is likely to be set 2 years after the original.. They even joked on the title being "The Seventh Sense.".. Um.. No comment here.. (CSO)

The ugly bastard above is what lies in waiting for our hero in "Godzilla 2000". That there is the ALIEN. (CSO)

Trying to find a hard to get VID.. Live in Australia or on Planet earth?? Check out Cult-a-rama Videos, "rare videos for PAL format".

On a more serious note.. A Mulitnational peacekeeping force (INTERFET) entered East Timor today.. A province of Indonesia that has been faced with REAL horror after the a people of East Timor, who voted overwhelmingly for independence, have been violently attacked some are calling it a Holocaust. You can send moral boosting emails to the Troops at the following email address. [email protected] this is an Australian address, I imagine all countries involved have similar systems in place.. But If not send your support via this address.. It will reach the troops.

Friday/ Saturday the 17th and 18th of September 99 (Couldn't update yesterday, was doing a shift on Ghost Tours at Bogga Road.)

Pictures of "Roswell" the TV series have popped up in EON MAGAZINE.. The one below is the main picture of the very human like Alien cast. (DH)

Info has also turned up on CSO about the character played by William Sadler (Disturbing Behavior, Demon Knight).. In the same interview by Eon, Producer David Nutter said the following.
"I mean, the place that [Sadler’s character is] coming from… his entire belief system is going to be, I think, turned on its head slowly as he collects the pieces of the puzzle. My guess is that finally we'll see some sort of sea changes in his attitude. He's very single-minded and determined to get to the bottom of this mystery at the beginning, because of his father's being chastised for believing in aliens and so on. And all of a sudden, it's happening to him."

Series producer David Nutter adds, "Our goal is not to make William Sadler the ‘black hat.’ Our goal is to give him another dimension and a sense of purpose and a sense that he needs to find the truth as well as these kids need to find the truth about their paths. And I think that journey can be an exciting one and I think a compelling, fulfilling one for him as well."

The release of "The House on Haunted Hill" has been pushed back to early 2000 according to Darkhorizons. (DH)

According to H2K's official www.halloweenmovies.com webpage, that H2K may not have Michael in it.. But I'm guessing that it will. The film will be shot in Salt Lake City, and set in Haddonfield, targeted for a Fall 2000 release.. And there are a whole bunch of people writing the film.. Exactly who is not mentioned. Isn't it annoying when an official site is so tongue in cheek.. That was one of the great things about TBWP Net P&A everything was spelt out to you, nothing was hidden except the ending.

Late Thursday the 16th of September 99

The first big Scream 3 SPOILER has turned up at Darkhorizons. It is in relation to the first victims in the film. Take into account before HIGHLIGHTING the spoiler.. An old rumour.. That the Scream 3 film may not take on a straight forward scene ordering style, like in the first 2. There in fact could be some of that Pulp Fiction thing going on.. The person's killed at the begginning of the film could in fact really be, killed in a time frame, at the end of the film and if such a thing was true than they could in fact be the killers. Okay, now you are thinking I'm crazy.. Well I'm just reaching for the furthest plot twist.. Excuse me. But when you see what the reliable source had to say, you might not think me so twisted. One of the characters, has not yet been mentioned in the CASTING LIST. Highlight the below line with your cursor and mouse to read the SPOILER..
"COTTON (Liev Schreiber)dies at the beginning. Then Jenny McCarthy is hired for STAB 3 and she is killed too.(MY jaberring-- I always thought that Leaving Cotton out of the film in credits would lead me to say Cotton is the Killer.. But hey it might be Sidney.)" (DH)

Thursday the 16th of September 99

Huge news for "The Blair Witch Project" in Australia.. It has been leaked onto the Australian Countdown site. The following is a total rip of Andrew's Page.

Much news today - I'm not sure where to begin. Courtesy of the good people at Dendy I have much info. Here we go:

* Tomorrow MISSING flyers and stickers will start to appear in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Here is a scan of the sticker:

Cool huh? If you have an Australian BWP page email ANDREW - Dendy have all sorts of cool stuff to offer BWP webmasters and their internet strategy is designed to embrace net fans (unlike studio net strategies).

* Trailer #1 commences tomorrow with prints of AMERICAN PIE and THE HAUNTING in Hoyts, Greater Union, Birch Carroll and Coyle and Village cinemas. Though they tell me this could vary from location to location so best to contact the cinema first to make sure. The second trailer will appear with THE SIXTH SENSE from October 16.

* Tabitha of the Graveyard Shift will be featuring BWP on Sept 24, and there will be mentions on Ground Zero next week and E! News on Sept 29th.

* The first TV commercial is going to appear way early - on Sept 25th on SBS at 10:30pm during AKIRA. Cool. It will be a 15 sec spot, will air only once and then will appear again during a documentary about magic mushrooms on SBS that airs on October 6th. Good ad placement!

* Josh's Blair Witch mix will be released locally the last week of November (that is, unless you ordered yours over the net ;) )

* And the big news is that the official site will open proper some time in the next few days. We're not sure exactly when, but keep hitting it here: www.blairwitch.com.au

Pictures from the TV series ANGEL have appeared on CSO. They are all promotional.. Not action but they do look cool. (CSO) Oh there are even a couple of Charisma Carpenter in there.

Accompanying the pictures were these official words from the WB network folks.. Which is a great series run down.. No spoilers..

"A centuries-old vampire cursed with a conscience, Angel (David Boreanaz) has left the small California town of Sunnydale and the only woman he loved to take up residence in the City of Angels. Between pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city’s glittery facade, Los Angeles proves to be the ideal address for a fallen vampire looking to save a few lost souls and, in turn, perhaps redeem his own by restoring hope to those locked in a losing battle with their own demons.

"Angel’s solitary existence is disrupted when he crosses paths with another Sunnydale escapee, Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter), who has come to Los Angeles with high hopes of living the glamorous Hollywood dream. A struggling actress who isn’t afraid of anything except someone not recognizing her as the talented soon-to-be star that she is, Cordelia finds L.A. and the path to stardom to be rockier than she anticipated. The two discover that they need each other: she for a protective hand in a dangerous city, and he for someone with a little moxie to keep him afloat.

"They are joined by Doyle (Glenn Quinn), a disreputable spiritual mentor who has been sent by "The Powers That Be," a mysterious and powerful force trying to make things right. A half-human, half-something else altogether whose charge is to keep a balance between good and evil, he will guide Angel on his path to redemption, although he would generally rather be at the racetrack.

"Doyle’s visions provide very little information beyond a name or a face, so it is up to Angel to reach out to people, become involved in their lives to learn how, why and form whom they need saving. No longer can he simply hide in the shadows, Angel needs to connect with people and let them into his heart to show that there’s hope in this world – and hope for him."

Critically Acclaimed author William Peter Blatty (The Excorcist) will not be involved in the making of "The Excorcist IV".. But he admitted that there is a fourth in Production.. Blatty hopes it never makes it to the production studio because he got a whiff of it and did not like what he smelt.. The interview in Entertainment Weekly also brought Blatty's take on the latest horror films in which he slammed, "The Haunting". Quote follows..

The necessary distinction is that you can't give the audience junk, such as the recent remake of The Haunting, though notice that filmgoers rushed to it on its opening weekend, before they discovered how dreadfully the film had been executed… I have high hopes that the new Haunting has sounded the death knell for today's surfeit of cheesy, unbelievable special effects, especially the endlessly overdone ‘morph.’ Good movies are built around characters, story and language. Lately, it's been, ‘Here are these effects, what kind of story can we build around them?’ (CSO)

Really Late Wednesday the 15th of September 99

Australian Box Office

#8 "Two Hands", 159 thousand, total of 4.7 million.

#10 "Thirteenth Floor" 113 thousand, for a total 560 thousand.

Wednesday the 15th of September 99

"Freddy Vs. Jason" well it has been a while since the last rumor but here it comes. Robert Englund (Freddy) was recently interviewed by DVD review. And this is what he had to say.. "Freddy vs. Jason sounds comical, but (producer) Michael DeLuca goes to great lengths to get the script where he wants it. I am hoping that it will help the overall balance. The new writer on the project did the first draft for ‘The Mask’. It is a great film that really made a difference. It turned a corner like ‘The Blair Witch Project’, and I think these things need to be embraced". What everyone wants to know is, what's the current status of the film. To that question he enthusiastically replied "All I know is that they’re waiting for a first draft at this point. I am really looking forward to that, and then we’ll go into early pre-production. I might be doing a little bit of stuff, screen tests and so in September. Currently we are working towards a Summer 2000 release date. As I say, there’s no final script yet, but I heard some really interesting stuff about the story and how they tie Freddy and Jason together. One of the ideas is to make Freddy the janitor at the Crystal Lake camp and so forth. I am sure it will be fun". Well to me it sounds like the writer will need to give some kind of credit to the writers on the FAN SITE.. Becasue Freddy as a janitor at Crystal Lake is by no means a new idea. (DH)

"End of Days" is getting a bit of a reshoot.. This may cause a bit of a delay in the release of the film. (DH)

On "Buffy".. I managed to catch the GRaduation Day episodes.. And all I can say id the HYP was way to high.. And the Ascention creature thing was by no means worht waiting for.. Ear Shot aired the other night down here.. And well I didn't catch it.

"I Was A Teenage Werewolf".. Well it has been a while since we have seen a werewolf film. But why does Hollywood have to remake the film. I mean they could rename it, and just make it the way they want change the character names and no one would slag them.. Because that's Hollywood.. But NOOOO... 7Arts is going to pump 25 million into the making of the film, along with Hellraiser 3 (The one in the nightclub), Anthony Kickox. The original was made in 1957, I suggest you rent it and havea giggle at Michale Landon. (CSO)

Another Re-Make in the wings is "The Day of the Triffids" based on the novel that some Aussie Kids read in High School. Back in 62 the original was released. At the moment pregger entertainment is looking into the remake.. I'd rather see a sequel to any film on the planet than a remake.. (HO)

Pregger Entertainment is getting director Tom Holland, (Fright Night and Child's Play). The film is based on Wyndham's novel, The Midwich Cuckoos. (HO)

Pregger is taking Horror in any way it can.. "Meeting Evil", is currently being adapted. HO says that it "revolves around a man, who after meeting a stranger, finds himself embroiled in a violent crime spree he can't quite free himself from. Scribes John Tinker and Bill D'Elia are presently adapting the book." (HO)

Lions Gate Films will be getting international Distribution of "Shadow of a Vampire".. But if you live in Brisbane Australia this means one thing.. This film will never show in a Megaplex with Senstadium seating.. Why?? Becasue BCC has a grudeg against Lions Gate, I have to go to the ends of Brisbane to track down a cinema that has it.. usually the Village twin in the Valley will have it.. But I'm mumbling now.. (CSO)

Tuesday the 14th of September 99 Early Edition. (Tod Browning's DRACULA (1931- will be screening at Bogga Road Jail tonight at 7.30pm.. 8 bucks students and conc, 10 bucks adults book at GHOST TOURS NOW!!)

Lance Henriksen will be appearing in the 7th epsiode of the next X-files series.. So set your vcr's now. Get ready to tape the Millennium cross over. This episode will be extremely engaging as it will tie up all the loose ends of the Millenium series.. I expect it will be released on to video as well.. (CSO)

Dimension has done a backflip on their genre shift.. "Deader" will be the first of the Dimension genre new wave (Post Scream 3).. The film is written by Neal Marshall Stevens and tells a story that focuses on a young, jaded reporter who works for an underground newspaper. While investigating a bizarre cult, he stumbles into an alternative reality. Kind of sounds like C.H.U.D. to me crossed with house 2.. But apparently it is a Psycho Thriller.. So expect somebody with that Dwight Frye type demor running around someplace. (CSO)

There are whipsers on Cinescape Online that "Sleep Hollow" is going through 3 weeks of reshoots.. I hope it is just a little bit darker than the trailer.. Which still looked a bit to "A Nightmare Before Christmas" but if Burton is going for that atmosphere.. Good on him. (CSO)

Harry Knowles at "Aint it Cool News" has posted a great fiscal and entertainment review of Horror in 1999.. I suggest you check it out. HERE.

Monday the 13th of September 99

End of Days.. Well it happened at the MTV awards in the US.. During the adverts a new trailer popped out.. Check it out at BlueThunderMovies.. Or download the 2.05meg right now at Blue Thunder.. Be warned it is in demand and it will be long one to download.

New Scream 3 poster ended up at AICN, it's basically an extension of the old one.. But note the E is not just a 3. The 3 looks like a font rip-off of the 3 in Lethal Weapon 3.

Catherine Zeta Jones, is going to be in the serial killer thriller "The Tenth Victim".. Lee Tamahori is directing this one. (DH)

The US BOX OFFICE- This week total HORROR domination. 50%.. More than 90% of the total taking.. WOW..
#1 Stigmata: 19.3 million
#2 The Sixth Sense: 17million, for a total of 198.1 million
#3 Stir of Echoes: 6.2 million
#6 13th Warrior: 2.9 million, for a total of 26.6 million
#10 The Blair Witch Project: 1.6 million, for a total of 136.1 million.

I sat down today and watched 4 horror type films after a long walk to the video shop.. Reviews will hopefully be written tomorrow.. I caught "Razor Blade Smile", "Ice Station Erebus", "Warlock 3" and "Cube". Reviews will be incoming.

Friday 10th/ Saturday 11th of September 99.. Late because I was doing a haunted sleepover at Bogga Road. Cool job to have.

The Frank Black character from Millennium, is not going to appear in his own series.. However there is likely to be episodes of X-Files where he is the main character.. (CSO)

More on the Corman "Monsterfest" serial, "[AMC] started asking me, 'Is there any way we could shoot something that would be playing in between the horror pictures?’ We decided to shoot a movie based on an old Saturday-afternoon cliffhanger. I play Dr. Gorman, head of the AMC horror library, and I send these film students into the library where they become enmeshed in the horror films themselves." The serial will be directed by Gwyneth Gibbey, who recently directed "Night Fall" for Corman. (CSO)

Scorsese's "Bringing out the Dead" is starting to get some promotion. Scorsese told USA TODAY.. It read's like the a tourism brochure for New York city.. NOT.. "We've been shooting mostly in the streets of New York at night for 75 nights, becoming part of the street life and mayhem in - well, the old name for it was Hell's Kitchen. Our police escorts would suddenly be called away to a gang war on 54th and 11th Avenue. And at the same time there would be a slashing, a knifing of some tourists two blocks away from us. And as the night progressed, there would be some gunshots at one of the nightclubs. We are pretty much trying to create the world that these people inhabit. It's almost hallucinatory. You're not even sure if Cage's character is dreaming or it's real." (CSO)

Poppy Z. Brite is having another book translated to screen. "The Sixth Sentinel" will be made as "The Dream Sentinel". (HO)

A NEW review from Katherine Charles of "In Dreams" has been sent in and posted. It's a great juxtaposition to my review. Anyone who has a review.. Don't hesitate to email me it. [email protected]

Thursday the 9th of September 99

This house is the other one that Dreamworks will be calling, BORN BAD. It is the property from "What Lies Beneath" and it looks like a cross between Amityville and the Bates House. Thanks to DH for the tip and the official dreamworks fan site, http://www.spielberg-dreamworks.com/whatliesbeneath that has all that you would want to know about the film.

End of Days, well it is no secret that Guns'n'Roses are doing a song for the film. Hear it first on MTV's Music Awards (US TIME) 8 pm Thursday in the form of a End of Days promo.. On Australian MTV it is not known if the clip will be shown, but the Awards will be at 7.30pm Friday night. The song is called "Oh my God". The other music on the film soundtrack will include the latest range of soundtrack bands, and a few new bankable sounds: Limp Bizkit, Creed, Rob Zombie, Everlast, Powerman 5000, Orgy and possibly Korn. (DH)

So yo want to buy more than a ticket to "The Blair Witch Project"?? Well at auction I'm sure you will find something.. The clapper board/production slate and the 16mm camera used in the film are up for Auction Ebay. The starting price is 20 bucks and 5000 bucks respectively.. These will become pride of place in any film buffs library.. Imagine pointing that out to your friends as you have a beer in the games room.. Oh and that old thing.. Well that was the camera used in the most profitable film of all time.

Late Wednesday the 8th of September 99

A new Australian Horror film is on the horizon.. This one is called, "Cubbyhouse". It will be filmed on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The following blurb appeared on Urban Cinefile.

Written by Queenslander Ian Coghlan, Cubbyhouse is being cast over the next few weeks. Relocating from America to the Gold Coast, young mum Lyn Graham has chosen a home that will threaten the very existence of her children. There is an evil past that is set to corrupt her two youngsters in a series of satanic rituals. It is the teenage brother Danny who, with the help of his girlfriend, must uncover the dark secrets and seek out an escaped killer, risking his soul in a classic battle of good and evil.

Produced by Chris Brown and David Hannay, Cubbyhouse is directed by Murray Fahey (Dags) and sold internationally by Beyond Films. Local distribution to be finalised.

I for one hope it is not the last horror film made in Queensland. And I pray that it is better than "Bloodmoon".

Australian short schlock horror filmmaker, Kent Boswell (pictured) has taken top honours as he won the @rena Graveyard Shifyt film festival award for "Bondi Hop Head Zombie Freakout". www.upcominghorrormovies.com has scooped out again on H2K..
Their source has confirmed my speculation almost too perfectly.. So I'd be carefull with this rumor. Here is a word for word transcript.

John Carpenter will some what be involved in H2K with good reason. The reason is that he is angry that 'Freddy' and 'Jason' are coming back and it's not hard to figure they copied his idea especially Jason. Freddy Vs. Jason pissed him off. He was even more angry to hear about Jason X, so he is trying to help out H2K succeed.

H2K will be shot in Salt Lake City, Utah where some others were shot and the story line, like previously reported, will go back to Haddonfield. Also Michael was not the person who got his head chopped off in H20 so he will indeed be in H2K. Dr. Loomis's son Xavier will be in this one where he will take the place of his father.

Due to the unexpected competition of 'Jason X' and 'Freddy Vs. Jason' the plot of the movie may slightly be changed. Because of this competition H2K will probably not be the last in the series. Good news though, Jaimie Lee Curtis is expected to return to reprise her roll as Laurie Strode. Also Laurie's son from H20 will be in this one.

There will possibly be clips of the previous sequels in this movie and the old Myer's house will be shown a couple times. Since H20 ignored what was going on in parts 4, 5, and 6 H2K will try to explain it. In one part of the movie Laurie Strode will consider commiting suicide, but the question is will her son stop her in time?

Rick Rosenthal, who helped John Carpenter direct part two might help him agian in H2K. The movie will be produced by Paul Freeman, Executive Produced by Moustapha Akkad and be written by Debra Hill with a expected release date of Fall, 2000. About the H2K title it's what you get when you cross Y2K and H2O. The full title will be Halloween H2K: Evil Never Dies.

RIP FX KING- David Allen died last week of Cancer at Age 54. Although you may not be familiar with Dave's face you will be familiar with some of the images he has made through Stop Motion FX and other styles.. From working on the kids show GUMBY, to FX work on Horror greats such as "The Howling", Cohen's "Q: The Winged Serpent" and "The Stuff".. The list is enormous, "Ghoulies II", " Honey I shrunk the Kids", "Dolls", Subspecies, Equinox, The Crater LAke Monster, The Hunger, Witches Brew, Twilight Zone.. His directorial status was beggining to emrege, he directed Puppet Master II, The Dungeonmaster.. At the time of his death he was still working on The Primevals, a dream project that he had been working on for decades. We'll miss the Movie Magic David.

Well it seems that TRIMARK has been keen on the INTERNET parodies of TBWP, and has been buying up a select fe for it's webpage.. Mine is not one of them.. But than again imagine the legal battle field when it comes to selling a parody site with the MTV logo all over it:). By the way The Road Rules Project is still open.. I will Put up a direct link to the Journal soon. The Australian OFFICIAL TBWP site is now open at www.blairwitch.com.au it is a very premature at this stage.. But fans of the Witch may want to check it out.

The US release date of "Lost Souls" has been pushed back from October to sometime in January.. Well it is set in the NEW MILLENIUM.. And the trailer points to that. (CSO)

Fans of Kevin BAcons band, "The Bacon Brothers" will be dissapointed to hear that the tour has been delayed as there is still shooting to be done on "The Hollow Man" which is over schedule becasue of an Ankle. (CSO)

Jason Katims, the series creator of "Roswell" has said the following unstable remarks about the show. "I’m totally winging it. I have no idea [where the mythology will go]. It’s day by day, you know."

Then, Katims adds, "We’ve plotted out the first season of the show. We have ideas of where it’s going and where it’s going beyond that. So we have thought a lot about the mythology and all that stuff. To me, one of the exciting things about the premise of this show is that the three alien characters in the show don’t know about their history which makes it exciting from a writing point of view because as they discover their back story, the audience is discovering it." Seems that the show is being played by EAR. (CSO)

NEW GODZILLA 2000 trailer.. I S%%T you not.. all those TOHO fans will love this.. 4.1 meg download.. The new trailer combines both the OLD and then NEW..

William Donahue Catholic rights campaigner in the US that has brought you things like the DELAYED RELEASE OF DOGMA is also now having a dig at Stigmata because it could be "a vehicle for making a political attack on the Catholic Church." Tamara Collings a research analyst for Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, the place that Donahue represents, has passed on her dislike of the film to her boss. It is unknown if Donahue has seen the film but he said and I'm quoting CSO, , "MGM risks attenuating its prestige by backing such an outlandishly gory and insidious film as Stigmata. The idea that salvation can best be achieved by rejecting the Catholic Church is an old and very tired idea. The good news is that there exists a small audience for such an exploitative film, and all the hype and technical effects in the world can do nothing to redeem this bomb of a movie.". I think that maybe Donahue should become a film critic.. Dammit it is only a MOVIE.. For godsake.. MGM did not rewrite the bible. People can tell the difference between fiction and whatever the Bible is. Next you'll be attacking Lost SOuls and End of Days.. Look out Hollywood. Soon the MAFIA will be wanting a nicer reputation in films (no Mafia church link intended just saying). (CSO).

A very positive recent screener of "The Green Mile" will run for 3 hours and 1 minute.. The first TEST Audience loved it.. So I guess it will stay at that GUT BUSTING TIME.. Looks like they'll need to allow some time for a toilet break during that film.. I'd suggest you do it.. Hang on there will be no time to do it.. If the film is like the screenplay.. My bladder is gonna just have to wait.

Friday the 3rd of September 99

A trailer for Lost Souls has appeared at the OFFICIAL SITE.. It is approximately a 1.4 meg download. Click here to download the little fellah. Here's something.. An official site that fore warns you that you are about to become the anti christ.. If you do not want to become the antichrist.. For Christsake don;t push the cursor over the blood red stuff on the left hand side.. I did it and my head is still spinning. Now this page is going to upset some religios folk.. It encourages people to go out and get possessed so that they send in photos etc.. Actually come to think of it I wouldn't mind seeing some of those photos. The page gives the stats that The Vatican says their have been seven recorded Excorcisms.. There are 200 excorcisms performed by the catholics church everyyear.. and than it says there are over 1000.. Make up your mind.. The trailer is about 2 mins and brilliant for the short download time.. The movie however just looks like any other excorcism flick.. But this one has a cinema release and an allstar cast. (DH)

The ending to "Hannibal" may not be the same as it is written in the book by Harris.. Instead Harris has come up with a more Hollywoodesque ending for the over the top novel about a man and his dietry intake. (CSO)

Thursday the 2nd of September 1999. (sorry for the slow fortunecity's server. As soon as I get the dosh I'll go domain and never have to worry about slow connections again.)

End of Days, not only the name of the new film from Arnie.. But possibly the name of the revival song from supergroup "Guns'n'Roses" who are rumored to be providing their debut single from their new album in the promotion of the movie. The Gunners have of course used there music to promote Arnie films in the past. So this might not just be a rumor. (DH)

Lil Kim is taking up the roll that Jenny McCarthy has left in the spoof, "Scream if you Know What I Did Last Halloween".. (DH)

Garth at DH has posted a very favorable review of "The Dividing Hour".. A Movie I knew was bound for greatness.. Congrats Mike, I guess this puts you a few steps closer to making back that whole 7 grand and than some. See the HFA SPOTlight from a few months back for more.

Wednesday the 1st of September 1999.

Well August was a huge month for HFA.. Over the pages and pages of stuff I have marked for calaculating stats through HITBOX.. I can safely say that the total amount of hits for HFA in August is the largest it has ever been: over 8,886.. Well how does that break down.. What films were people coming into look for?? What were people most interested in.. Well here is the top 10 HFA sites for August. It is amazing how many times TBWP pops up. As we move into HFA's 1st birthday month September.

#1: The Road Rules Project (A HFA SPoof/ SPOTlight)... 3652 hits over its 12 pages.
OF all the people that visited "The Road Rules Project" only 6 people found "Sarah's Journal".. SoI guess I have hidden it to well. Fans of the original HAXAN Blair Witch site would love to find that journal I'm sure, by clicking around etc.. But instead I think in the coming days I'll list it in the nav bar. TRRP went down for a couple of days over August an I apologise for that. The reason this section was so popular is clearly because of the timing (upong the US release) and three other ver important factors.. 1) TBWP Webring, which lead to 2) an article on spoofs at NEWSWEEK.com, this sparked interest and a favourable review at 3) Yahoo.. Answer = success.

#2: The Blair Witch Project News Archive on HFA... 1 page 2085 hits.
The news sections I only started watching this month.. When the stats went through the roof on this particular page I can clearly say that I said the words.. "HELLO!" out loud.. I had not listed the page on any search engines and had not joined TBWP webring. But it happened and I'm thankfull. Since than I joined TBWP webring and the page has contined it's successes.

#3: The Main HFA Page.. 1 page 1740 hits.
This is the page that you enter on and the one that I use as the navigation page for users.. As is the joy of Hypertext, a user doesn't need this page on the internet, as you can turn to any page you want from anywhere in the world and find what you are looking for. If you know how to get there. However to all that are REGular visitors on HFA, you would know that the front page, is where you hear everything first.

#4: Stop It, You're Killing Me: Unofficial Site (HFA).. 512 hits since Aug 13, over it's 11 pages.
What can I say.. This is great news for Indie film-making.. 3 out of the top four HFA sites have been part of that kingdom of films. The film in question here, is yet to even get a distribution deal and it seems that people are keen to get on top of the film and ride it to the video shop or box office.. I personally can't wait to see the film, hence the reason I set it up. In a time when horror has got so serious, it's great to sit back and just laugh.

#5: Film News Listed Alpha... 169 hits.
This is the site where people find the upcoming horror films and their respective news archives. There are a HECK of a lot of films listed now.. I really got to go through and check up on all of those films more regularly.. But who has the time?? REally Horror is everywhere these days boys and Girls..

#6: The Blair Witch Project Trailer Review.. 103 hits.
I'm glad you like to read trailer reviews.. Even more than the actual film reviews.. I'd stopped putting them out because I thought no body cared.. But I was wrong.. The other big winners in the trailer reviews were, End of Days and the Godzilla 2000 teaser..

#7: Cahiers du alt.horror: 93 hits.
This is the alt.horror webring site.. I'm such a slack ass when it comes to the webring.. Look at how many people visited the page and I did nothing to it all month.. This month I'm going to have to make up for it.. I think the webring currently has about 16 sites in it.. Always looking for any other horror we can get.

#8: News Main.. 83 hits.
This is the page that lists the news by the month and is basically the NEWS nexus on the site.. But for latest news always check the MAIN PAGE.

#9: The Blair Witch Project Reviews.. 77 hits
Well a whole bunch of people went into the review site expecting to get a whole bunch of reviews.. And there is still only one.. Please feel free to email any reviews.. I'll post them.. I actually have yet to see the film because I'm in OZ, but tell you this much.. I got a ticket for FREE.. So yay.. Thank you Village Roadshow and Jack Simm. So as soon as I see the film I'll post my review..

#10.. The Crow: Stairway to Heaven TV HFA news archive. 54 hits.
Well fans of the series really must love the show.. The axe swings left and right all over it.. But the chance of the series being revived is keeping people rolling into the TV news section. I have yet to see an episode of the show, but by the number of hits it is getting (More hits than Crow 3 Movie news archive) I can assume that is a show to keep an eye out for. The other TV show that is ranking high is not Buffy or Angel, but ROSWELL seems there are a lot of people keen on that series and GvsE. If I did a Top 11 Roswell would have made it in.

Other interesting things.. The Haunting 1963 SPOTlight was well hit.. The Ed Sanchez interview was the most popular interview and Arlington Road was of intrigue. The usual string of sequel lovers keep Freddy Vs Jason and Scream 3 alive.

Australian Horror Box Office.
#5 Two Hands, took 370 thousand, total of 3.9 million.

#7 Arlington Road, took 358 thousand, total of 1.849 million

#11 The Mummy, 83 thousand, total of 17.9 million.

Well what has happened to Australian Horror releases I hear you scream..
Well the JLC flick "VIRUS" has now moved back from it's release of last week to some time in November. The Haunting was supposed to release this week.. But instead "Thirteenth Floor" will open.. "The Haunting" will go up against "Deep Blue Sea" at Holiday period on the 26 of Sept.. 13th Warrior is a Nov 4, while Idle Hands is now Nove 18. Lake Placid has been kicked next week to Oct 28 with "The Bone Collector".. While everything else stays kind of the same.
