| "Teaching Mrs. Tingle" managed to
sneak in the backdoor for #10 in its opening week. The film took only 3.5
million. This will spell the end to a good run for Kevin Williamson. I hope
he is not a manic depressive, as this will be the foresight to the romantic
comedy he wants to make next. Face it KW, Horror made you.. You're one of
us, like it or not. :) |

The Webpage for "Teaching Mrs. Tingle"
is now open. It is aptly titled www.worstteacherever.com.
Well somebody has a sense of humor.. haha. However like most Dimension films
websites.. They are not just interested in promoting their film. On the
right as you enter you will see more banners than you would at the Olympics.
If you want to proceed past that point you must click .. More about Teaching
Mrs. Tingle. Down in the bottom left corner. When you make it inside.. Alls
you get is brief plot (without any reference to the Lois Duncan book the
film is ripped from). In the download section there are 7 pics, A trailer,
and 7 mov/avi clips of about 1.5 meg in size, without any description beside
them (I'm not downloading something if I don't know what it is. Ball and
all one of the worst official sites I have seen in my life. I hope Dimension
didn't pay anyone to make it. |

| "Teaching Mrs. Tingle" gets
its first strike from the MPAA for the advertising campaign.. Which the
MPAA claims promotes teenage drinking. This is the advert where Mrs. Tingles
dog is drinking wine and the KAtie Holmes notes that she'd turn to drink
if she were owned by a nasty old hag. Now tell me the MPAA are just sharpening
their claws on this film, because I calculate that this film well go through
hell for a rating. (CSO) |

  New Pictures
for Teaching Mrs. Tingle have arrived online
care of that great page DH. Garth comments on how it has something for every
male. But will the controversey surrounding this film draw a curtain on
the film quickly as was the case with "Idle Hands". It is hard
to tell at this stage. But if you look at the picture at the top Left you
can't help but say to your self, "there will be protests over what
those students are doing to that poor teacher." (DH)

The IMDB has reposted news about "Teaching
Mrs. Tingle".. Saying the plot outline they gave is not quite
that of what was said. "Any comparisons between the film's plot and
the situation in Littleton Colorado are extremely forced and are the knee-jerk
reaction of people with thin skins," the writer said. If the film is
based on a book by Lois Duncan (As was I Know What You Did Last Summer).
"Killing Mr Griffin" is the story by Duncan. The Book by Duncan
is about a group of students who kidnap their teacher, to TEACH him a lesson..
But than the teacher dies and they are left with the guilt.. In the Kevin
Williamson Written and Directed film I'm guessing he has substituted one
thing.. The Teacher is now a Mrs. Tingle. And the title is now teaching,
not killing.

| Littleton Colorado citizens are going to protest the release of "Teaching Mrs Tingle".. The reason is that a
student played by Katie Holmes (recent winner at MTV) will be seeking vengence
on a teacher and a student in the film.. Now to make this sound like a comedy,
Miramx had the title chaged to "Teaching Mrs. Tingle" from "Killing
Mrs. Tingle". To me teaching carries with it a more torturous over
tone than Killing.. The film has been written and directed by Kevin Williamson
and will be released this year like it or not. |

Here is the nail in the coffin of the Killing Mrs.
Tingle.. Title change.. It don't get more official than this.. I'm
getting weary ast to whether this will be the horror it was originally said
to be.. will the comedy out way the horror??

| Miramax has confessed to changing the title of "Killing
Mrs. Tingle" long before the tragedy at Colorado.. Because the
film is "not about killing a teacher. We call it a wicked comedy."
Says Andrew Stengal from Miramax PR. The film is now known as "Teaching Mrs. Tingle".. As talked about earlier
this week. |

| "Killing Mrs. Tingle" has been
changed to "Teaching Mrs. Tingle"..
Because of recent event in the US (In Littleton).. The old title seems to
reflect the movie too much.. There is the silent fury building over the
films released and many religious in Colorado are vowing to boycott the
film. Miramax are distributing it and unsurprisingly gave up to a new title
name.. Afterall they did drop "Dogma" becaue of religious disinterest.
When you think about it they have created a new metaphor.. From now on when
someone tells me they ar gonna TEACH me something.. I know they really mean
KILL.. |

This is the first picture I have seen of the film, Katie Holmes and Liz
Stauber. It is the first Director outing for Kevin Williamson and will also
star Helen Miren.
