According to Dakrhorizons a whole bunch of new Scream
3 pictures are currently hitting the Internet. There are more shots
HERE.
Music clips from the film are now available at "www.scream3music.com".
I'm looking at these shots and wondering to myself.. Will there be any scenes
in this film where Dewey remembers his sister is stuck in the garage roof.
Or will the characters just carry on as normal except for Sid who is just
a mental wreck. Today Wes Craven thas been quoted saying he would like to
make a fourth film, but it would likely be in 15 years time to revisit the
characters. (DH) (HFA NEWS)

According to CNN Jodie Foster is definately out of "Hannibal"
at the time the film goes into production, Foster (Clarice) will in fact
be directing a Claire Danes film called "Flora Plum". On Cinescape
earlier this week it was hinted that if Jodie Foster was to pull out of
the role than it could possibly go to Gillian (Scully) Anderson. It will
be interesting to see if this film continues to be made now. As Hopkins
was not all that keen in doing the film if Foster was not doing it. (CSO/

NEWS FOR TUESDAY DECEMBER 28, 1999 |
Ever wondered why "War of the Worlds" hasn't been made into
a film lately. Well there is an interesting story that appeared on AICN
today.. It's about how Jeff Wayne (the musical writer) owns the rights to
non-cinematic version of the Wells story.. It's a great read..I've already
wanted to see the musical on the BIG SCREEN.. Unfortunatley the folks at
Paramount, including one of my fav directors (Kenneth Brennagh) would rather
not. The book has got to wait 75 years before it is public domain so it
has about 20 odd left. READ HERE. IT could be converted to film now, but there
needs to be a whole stack of money given to the Wells

NEWS FOR MONDAY DECEMBER 27, 1999 |
Post party update.. BARE with me:)
H2K legal battle may begin soon. A writer
for Akkad, whom after seeing H20, went home and wrote a treatment (pre-script
story) for the sequel. The writers name is C.R. Walsh. The problem is now
an ownership battle between Akkad and his writer. The whole interlectual
property battles have always been a source of boredome for me. Although
I can understand from a writers point of view the pains that must go through
someones head when the story. The thing is the writing of a sequel is something
that is hard to do, as a writer you must be carefull that all work is solicited..
IE, on this web page in the Crap I Wrote section I have my ideas for Freddy
Vs. Jason film called "Nightmare on Friday the 13th".. I've totally
copyrighted my concepts (I can't cover the characters), and I got a little
worried earlier this year when the Hollywood stock exchange posted a synop
for Jason X saying that CRYSTAL LAKE has now become a morbid tourist attraction..
If you read my treatment you will find that it opens on a morbid tour of
Crystal Lake. So I can see the pain that C. J. Must be going through. The
thing is that you must be carefull with your ideas.. Postying something
on the Internet is the fastest way to GLOBALIZE your idea and can hence
destroy you as the source of it. Taking an Idea offline and than transplanting
it to an online format later may save you some hassle. For more info on
H2K scandal click HERE.
The argument stems to the fact that C.R. came up with the title Halloween
8 and because of this the film has had a title shift to H2K, amongst other
more complex issues. (DH) (HFA NEWS)
Hellraiser 5 is scheduled for a mid to late
2000 release. According to D2K,
the plotline is as follows. The film concerns a good cop (Craig Sheffer)
who finds himself in the dark labyrinth of Hell, but has no idea how or
when he got there. Knowing that he doesn't belong in the unholy place, he
searches for an answer to his fate and a way to escape the clutches of the
evil Cenobites. Our informer also mentioned that there will be plenty more
Cenobites this time around, including several that audiences have never
seen before" Pinhead will only really be making a cameo in this
film as just another cenobite. (HFA NEWS)
NEWS FOR SUNDAY DECEMBER 26, 1999 |
More info on CUT. Okay.. Previously there
has been talk of the film as being set in the 1970s. The film itself is
actually primarily set in the 70s, on the set of a film. Than it flashes
to the present where filming begins again on the film that was being shot
in the 70s. The filming was halted for reasons that might be pretty obvious
as it is a Horror Film. Hint it may have someting to do with the nasty weapon
on the poster. (HFA NEWS)

They are pretty cool.. Check out the details of the film night HERE.
NEWS FOR FRIDAY DECEMBER 24, 1999 |
MERRY CHRISTMAS
EXCLUSIVE-- The poster for CUT arrived yesterday.. Today a motherload
of information has come into my hands. I just have to share it with everyone.
The poster was designed by the folks at http://www.attik.com/
.
The Trailer will hit the internet in the next week (possibly the end
of this week).
The Australian Premiere will be in Sydney on 28th or 29th of February
y2k.
Rumor has it tha Harvey Weinstein (Miramax) is viewing the film this
weekend. Harvey and Bob built Miramax on "The Burning" (a slasher
film), they also developed the genre wing DIMENSION FILMS and have supported
Australian films in the past with Miramax distribution. Who knows after
Harvey sees the film this weekend, the cinemas audience in the USA could
be experiencing the first AUSTRALIAN film to go through Miramax's DIMENSION
films (to my knowledge).
There is talk that this film could become a CABLE premiere in the USA.
Fingers crossed that it will not be to "Scream 3" what "Gargantua"
was to "Godzilla". (not that I'm espeacially proud to be an Australian
after seeing Gargantua, but a lot of people I know got a days work $$$).
The website will open in the next week at www.cut-themovie.com
.
The films budget was a measly 2 million dollars. Made at that price so
that hopefully it can make a profit in the domestic market. But 2 million
Australian can translate into a Hollywood equivalent of 10 - 15 million.
The Director Kimble Rendell, known to Australians as a member of Oz Rock
group Hoodoo Gurus, has also done a short film called "Hayride To Hell"
which also starred Kylie Minogue.
The soundtrack to the film will include music by local and foreign artists:
Something For Kate (Voted 3rd best album of the year on "triple
j"), Apollo 440, Split Enz and Jerk. More to be announced, there
will be a combination of older and NEW release tracks on the album.
Judging by the tone of the poster.. The film is not meant to be taken
seriously. Hopefully overseas audiences will get the Australian morbid sense
of humor this time round. hopefully critics will be trained enough in reading
TEXTS to understand that the film is not meant to be PSYCHO or HALLOWEEN.
This will be a bit of a flagship for Australia's horror for 2000. Locally
off the top of my head, also being produced or ready to be released are
"Pitchblack" (shot in Queensland), "Cubbyhouse" and
"He Died With a Fellafel in His Hand". Whilst overseas Director
Geoffrey Wright fine tunes "Cherry Falls" .. There is also a half
a dozen horror films being made in H'wood for 2k releases with Aussie actors
in them. Well I'd say that, and Sydney 2000, will give the world an OD on
Australia.. But I bet they'll only come home with cute Koala's and leave
the gritty stuff on the street.
MORE INFO as I get it.. HFA will be setting up a HUGE page on
this film next year.. AS this film will be HUGE. (HFA

the local area are enjoying the outdoor atmosphere and my hopes that the
Horror Film nights are turning into "Film Events" rather than
"Film Screenings". I'll continue to dig up trivia for the films

NEWS FOR TUESDAY DECEMBER 21, 1999 |
"Alien 5" could still be a long
way off. Sigourney Weaver was talking to the SCI-FI wire this week and has
said "I've always wanted to do one [an Alien movie] where we go
back to the planet from which the Alien originally came." , now
this would make for an interesting film, but could humans ethically wipe
out another alien race?? Although Weaver admits that there has been no serious
discussion on the next film she goes on to say "I don't know that
there are any plans to do another one," adds Weaver. "It wouldn't
surprise me if some time in the next 20 years or so, you see a white-haired
Ripley hobbling around out there. But I haven't heard of anything."

If made, according to producer Joel Silver, it will be anime and will describe

two sequels are still scheduled to happen. (DH) (HFA

George Miller has told Australian paper "The Age" that MAD MAX 4 will (yet again) be a standalone film.
The film is likely to include a lot of progressions that Miller has gone
through in the last 5 years. So technically expect there to be some kind
of CGI effects in the next film to keep up with the latest in SCI-FI. The
concept for the film will be based on an idea that Miller had 12 years ago,
which he remembered on a plane trip 3 years ago. Now if the plane trip is
what jogged his memory.. REMEMBER part 3 and the reference to the airliner
and CAPTAIN WALKER.. Hey Max had to go somewhere at the end of that film..
I'm guessing he went back to the Children of the Crack.. I just hope that
it returns to the in your face style of the first two that made it border
line horror, based on the FEAR that gangs could get out of control in Australia.

Clive Barker has made a whole bunch of comments that Horror Online has
published.. I don't usually do rebuttles.. But Barker has been particularly
HARSH toward the latest Horror films. It's a big tall poppies tribute. (Barker
is in Italic) "Well END OF DAYS is a very quick story. It was just
that my then-agent called me up and said 'You know we have this movie, they
need to do it really quickly.' It was one of those situations where there
was something quite tempting about it. I like making movies and I was sort
of looking at the idea of making a movie in a very short time frame, and
there would have been something quite entertaining about doing a Schwarzenegger
picture. But in the end you sort of have to make your choices. You get one
life and you have to choose really between the things you're going to put
your time into and the things you're not. I don't regret that choice, particularly
having seen the movie." Okay this is a fair statement from Barker,
but their is a really quirky irony in there as well. Barker is kind of admitting
that he would have liked to make a lousy film in a short time frame. I'mf
guessing he thinks that End of Days was bad.
Barker than went on to talk about "The Thief
of Always". "It's in good shape. I have a meeting at
Universal tomorrow (December 15) on that very thing. Though the issues we're
looking at right now are exactly how it's going to be done. There is some
argument as to whether it will be entirely CGI -- Toy Story style -- or
a mixture of live action and CGI. Presumably we will make up our minds tomorrow.
But Universal is very committed to it, and I have high hopes that we will
make that movie work. It's a very expensive movie
there are a lot
of effects, there's a lot of spectacle to it. But I have a good working
relationship with the guys at Universal. I like them immensely and they've
been very supportive to the project. I have high hopes that it will go."
will he direct the film?? "There just isn't enough time. At
some point I'm gonna need to clone myself. At a certain point it just becomes
impossible to do all these things. I've got three books on the blocks right
now and I need to develop them, finish them, polish them and deliver them.
And then probably I'll go make a movie for New Line, which is this horror
movie. I like those guys a lot, so I hope we can make it work over there.
Mike DeLuca is a tremendous creator, I think, and producer. So my hope is
that we will make that picture starting end of next year."
Barker on PUSHING THE ENVELOPE "Those (scripts) are written,
actually. Bill Condon (director of GODS AND MONSTERS) has written one of
them and it's tremendous. That will be, in terms of scale, a much more modestly
sized picture. I'm looking at something which is much more the size of GODS
AND MONSTERS. That way, feeling as though we can really, because the budget
will be very modest, that way feeling as though we can really keep the creative
controls. You know 'The Books Of Blood' were
perhaps noteworthy when they came out because they pushed the envelope a
little bit. And I want to make sure the movie adaptations do the thing.
HELLRAISER did that. It's harder, I think now, to push the envelope where
horror material is concerned than ever before. I don't think we're seeing
a lot of material, horror movies now that really do push the envelope. Cronenberg
is doing it less and less." The annoying thing is that is really
cheesing me off is the way that Barker sees Cronnenberg as an evolving force
in the Horror cinema. A single direct can not change an industry, a director
usually can only tell stories with there own special trademarks. If Barker
is getting tired of the trademarks that make Cronnenberg films his own than
he might have just got tired of Cronneberg films. Cronnenberg advanced horror
once in my opinion with Videodrome, if Barker expects a director to continuosly
do that than he is in the wrong period of time. During the studio system
a director could afford to do it. Now a director can not. Unless that director
is making INDIE hobby films.
Barker comments on the majority of recent Horror Films, "they
tend to be, by and large, rather dumb movies. THE MUMMY is less of a problem
for me frankly than, you know, the inevitable I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER.
URBAN LEGEND I found particularly troubling because I did feel as though
it took more than a slice out of the CANDYMAN mythology for its inspiration.
And that slightly troubled me. I felt like this was a movie that more than
owed a significant part of its existence to CANDYMAN. And I don't like to
see that. Go find your own ideas, guys!" WHAT!!! yeah like Barker
came up with the Urban legend with the bloke with a hook on his hand. That
Urban Legend has been around for years and years.. Barker just dressed it
up and put it into a historical content. I'm fairly sure that urban legend
evolved from the Phantom Killer (Lover Lane) murders in the Town That Dreaded
Sundown. If Barker classes the three films mentioned as benchmarks of recent
Horror films he needs to realise that there are over 90 Horror features
made each year (excluding a lot of the INDIE stuff and SHORTS) these films
are only three of them. If IKWYDLS and UL owe anything to any film, it is
"Campfire Tales" and Lois Duncan. Sorry to have a spat, I'm sick
of ppl talking down HORROR, to try and make there own work look better.
I love Barker films, I love the way they are GOREY and I love his trademarks
of American nostalgia, I love the way they have a very Italian feel to them.

NEWS FOR FRIDAY DECEMBER 17, 1999 |
Seems that there was more said in that Robert Englund interview than
firts mentioned. Robert has gone into another interview and re-hashsed an
old rumour that stated that "Freddy Vs. Jason"
will have two endings at the point of release. One of the endings will see
Freddy win, the other will see Jason win.. Now to me the stupidity lies
in the fact that both of these characters are in fact villains and the concept
of the film usually revolves around them slaughtering a whole bunch of people
before being killed themselves. To have one or the other escape death at
the end of the film would make more sequels so much easier to write. Anyhow
that is just my opinion. The cool thing about having two different endings
is that you could turn up at a cinema see the film and find out what happens
at the end, and than go to another session and see the other ending. A very
good way of making people see the film twice. But how many cinemas will
give the film 2 screens to play on.. ?? (HFA

word that there'll be other songs from Powerman 5000, Incubus and Ear2000

The Diabolical Dominion

by HOLE (Awful), "Swing low sweet Cherry make it awful".. Oops
I'm just dwelling on that CHERRY thing, but its so funny. Anyhow, Wright
also adds "You wouldn't believe the orgy we filmed at the local hunting
lodge." .. See now this film is going to be more pos-constructionist

and is hence getting the sharp end of the stick. Only managing to get 40
grand. End of Days, well despite it being another film to open in theUK
before Australia, has managed to do very well at the box office.. Behind
Bond, James Bond. TBWP has fallen out of the 15 at the UK.

There is a bit of a rumpus going around since it was announced that Antonia
Banderas will be playing the lead role in the film "Phantom
of the Opera". A lot of people believe that Michael Crawford
should be in the lead role. The film version is set to have some new songs
and more dialogue. No offense to Banderas, but I think that Hollywood has
cast this film the wrong way. (DH) (HFA NEWS)

The above poster for FDtD3 "Hangmans Daughter"

If you nearly had an aneurism or something while waiting to see the witch..
Than you are most likely keen on seeing the non-sold out INDIE horror that
is being produced in the US.. And if you live in Baltimore MD. In the USA
you can get even happier.. They have a line up that will make it hard for
you to sleep at night. And the thing is all of the films are from Baltimore..
All THREE films are getting premieres.. And all three films you would have
heard of.. And all Three films are only available to see at "The Festival of Darkness".
REASON # 1 for forking out the measly 22.50. "STOP
IT, YOU'RE KILLING ME!" (KEN YAKKEL)will premiere.. Meet Jamie
Donahue and Michael Todd stars from the film there as well.
REASON #2 "THE DEAD HATE THE LIVING"
(DAVE PARKER).. You will get to see Jamie Donahue in this film..
REASON #3 "THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM".
(STUART GORDON). The latest from the director that brought you Re-animator
and Space Truckers.
REASON #4 There will be directors and stars there to mingle and talk too..
There will be panel discussions for screenwriters and directors. Ken Yakkel
is not confirmed yet.. But he might be there.. But Parker and Gordon will
be.. This is an event that you can not miss if you are within driving or
a cheap airflight distance of BALTIMORE.. Did I mention bits of GWAR will
be there?? Well they will.. For more info see the official site. http://www.festivalofdarkness.com/

Ode to be made of money.. Hang on than everything will cost an arm and a

Latest "Freddy Vs. Jason" film
confirms that David Goyer is writing the script for New Line.. This appeared
on Darkhorizons.
Question: "Is there going to be a FREDDY VS. JASON movie?"
Answer: "MOST DEFINITELY...As we talk tonight, the newest draft of
FREDDY VS. JASON is being readied by the screenwriter of one of my favorite
films of two years ago, BLADE. So scream it out on the Internet - the screenwriter
of BLADE is now doing the final draft of FREDDY VS. JASON. I have been promised
by the absolute power at New Line Cinema that we are going to start, at
least in pre-production, in February! So we might have a Freddy 2000".
Question #2: "Is FREDDY VS. JASON the last we are going to see
of Freddy Krueger?"
Answer #2: "...I'd imagine that this would be the finale. Though
there might be more FRIDAY THE 13th films - I don't know. I've heard a rumor
that there will be two endings to FREDDY VS. JASON - Freddy will win in
one, and Jason will win in another. And the audience will never know what
ending they'll see, because they'll change the last reel."
First poster for the film "Ninth Gate" has popped up on DH.
Sam Raimi is developing another TV series.. This one is going to be more
Rosemary's Baby like (rather than XENA). (HO)
John Hannah will reprise his role in "The
Mummy 2" and will acquire also a pay cheque for 1 million dollars..
So all of Johns friends will no who is good for a loan. I bet when you saw
the Herbie remake with Bruce Campbell you didn't think John would be taking
home huge pay cheques after. (CSO)
NEWS FOR THURSDAY DECEMBER 9, 1999 |
WHOOPS.. Big old mistake in yesterdays update.. "The
Blair Witch Project" did manage to go top 20 with its pre-release
screenings in Australia. It took in as far as I can find.. 250,000 dollars
in Australia. I'm not sure of the amount of screens.. But I'm guessing there
were well over 50. but take into account each of those would have only done
one or two screenings that week. That means that TBWP ranked 6.
The Ed Sanchez and Dan Myrick attended a hour long chat session at www.blair-witch.com.au
.. It was pretty cool.. Here is my summary.
Well I'd compare the online chat to the directors ED and DAN Wednesday
Night
to that day Alan Border Brought the Ashes back to Australia and Brisbane's
Queen St. Mall.. Everyone was in the mall for the ticket tape parade and
somehow I managed to get an Autograph..
That was 10 years ago.. This event had as much confusion.. The Unmoderated
hour long discussion (at www.blairwitch.com.au).. Was mainly about the
ending of TBWP.. And what was doing however.. After I figured Ed and Dan
weren't keen on telling their interpretation I started firing out questions
on other projects..
"Heart of Love" (HOL) ED was
constantly prompting.. I asked if any midgets
were harmed during the filming.. Ed replied that 3 were killed.. So I guess
this is going to be a bit different to your average Romance. Or yet again
ED
is being way to sarcastic. As per usual.
SEQUELS.. They asked if people wanted
to see them.. Everyone pretty much
said NO.. They said they were writing one..
FEARSUM.. I seemed to be the only one
interested in this project (When this
show is bigger than the X-Files and its in its 3rd series and people are
talking to me like there experts I'll be able to say..) well.. I asked
about the WEBPAGE (as it will be a major role player in the film) , I asked
specifically about HIDDEN LINKS which is a feature of a lot of HAXAN
webpages (That most people don't ever pick up).. Dan replied that the page
was going to be really good or something to that effect.
You know ya try to get info out of them and they were sidestepping..
I guess
they didn't want a scoop to go to a chat session.. There was the joking
ED
barter about how he boned Heather and got punched by her boyfriend at
sundance.. But I'm guessing it was all just humouring the chat room which
quickly turned into another desperate online singles bar.. ARrrg.

Pictures from "Mission to Mars"
have appeared on Darkhorizons. (DH) Well it looks like where NASA goes wrong,
Hollywood goes right.. he he he, 300 million dollar suit case lost in space..
Director David Twohy has said his film "Pitch
Black" has only had a few scenes removed from his vision.. These
were character development scenes that will hopefully appear in the DVD
release. (DH) A positive review of the film has popped up on Darkhorizons.

Ever wanted to see what happens on the set of "Urban
Legends 2: The Final Cut".. (Don't ask me where the 's' came
from it is just there) Well wonder no more the last few days of shooting,
will be webcast across the Internet. ON December 13-15.. You will be able
to access it by going through the AOL Moviefone on that date.. More as the
date approaches I'm sure.. Check out this site at sony for more details. It is the official
site and contains some stuff similar to the original.. You can once again
submit your own Urban Legend.. Oh and there is this bit of the script for
you to read.

film next week, but I can't seem to come
up with a good story...
REESE
(after a beat) I know a good story.
AMY
(doubtful, she smiles)
Yeah?
REESE
Yeah...it's about a campus serial killer whose murders
are based on "urban legends."
(growing bitter)
Eight people get killed, but the prestigious college
manages to cover it up.
AMY
Yeah, I've heard that one. Supposedly happened at
Pendleton. It's an "urban legend", too.
LATE NEWS FOR SATURDAY DECEMBER 4, 1999 |
"GvsE" has left the USA network..
IT will be returning soon in the US.. to the SCI-FI channel.. Oh how I wish
that was in Australia now.. The sci-fi channel and the show. (CSO)
"Blade 2: Bloodhunt" is the official
sub-title to the next Blade film.. David S. Goyer (Dark City, Blade)has
told Comics2films the 'story
centers around a creature which is as threatening to vampires as it is to
humans. According the report, Blade teams up with a group of vampire warriors
called the Bloodpack to oppose the deadly creature.' .. Cool sounds
like they are going to make the Buffy film after all.. Just kidding.. It
was a joke.. Sounds good.. CAn't wait to see Goyers TV show.
Just when you thought that they couldn't make another film about a Hollywood
Heroin chasing down a Serial Killer.. Holyywood blindsides us.. I guess
this thing started way back with Silence of the Lambs.. And when one film
does well.. You can churn out as many of them as you like as long as they
have a star in it.. Well this one is going to be called "Darker
Saints" and will star and be produced by Pop-Rock sensation
Courtney Love ( note I say pop-rock, because that whole latest album just
reeked of Hollywood <not grunge>look at me I'm pretty give me a movie
deal, because I said you suck, kiss me and I'll make it all better. And
Hollywood replied yes Courtney, where?? Hey HOLE were good live when I saw
them this year, but I didn't stay for the WHOLE set.) (HO)
"Scary Movie" is scheduled to
hit US cinemas on the 31st of March y2k.
Can anyone spell confusing.. Here is how it is spelt.. "Scary
Movie" was the original title for the pophorror film
SCREAM.. The film now known as Scary Movie is in fact a pardoy of
the Kevin Williamson written films. The film now known as Scary Movie was
once known as "Scream if you Know What I did
last Summer".. But thankfully it has changed because the LIONSGATE
scream parody is coming out and it is called "I
know What you screamed Last Summer".. How do you tell the difference..
Well Scary Movie is a Wayans movie.. Whereas the other parody will stat
Tiffany Amber Thiessen, Tom Arnold and Coolio. "I Know what you screamed
Last Summer" is being made by Rhino films and is likely to be bought
by Lionsgate, which means that it will for some Lionsgate reason not get
a big showing in most Australian multiplexes.. Which will make it more critically
acclaimed because not as many people will no about it.. Of course that is
purely specualtion and is likely to be just bull crap.
Hey sick of Buffy kicking monster butt once a week.. always wanted too
see a superhuman (Duke Nukem-esk) type cryogenically frozen since World
War 2... Well wait not much longer.. For producer Richard Donner is on the
way to the rescue.. The show is titled "Matthew
Blackheartt: Monster Smasher".. Not only does Blackheart have
to adjust the 21st century but he also must defeat all the monsters that
his arch enemy MORTAS throws at him.. So looks like we'll see if Blackheartt
has a smashing time or not.. When the show goes under the HAMMER at the
NAPTE industry trade show in January.. We'll find out what station picks
it up if any... (CSO)
Roman Polanski's film, The Ninth Gate has
been delayed until March 2000.. I can remember when this film was set to
release in August of this year.. Well I guess this means it will b refined.
Hopefully that means it is good..
I finally saw "The Blair Witch Project" it had preview screening
on last night at Midnight.. Um.. Although I'm still writing the review..
Expect it to be about as long as I waited to see this film.. It will include
lines such as.. "Should I have taken pirate copies from people I don't
know??".. and was it worth the wait.. Should I have seen the film before
the HYPE really over-reached the expectancy of any film.. And is 16mm a
really funky format.. Should there be more first person filmmaking.. Could
this ever be sequalized.. The review you can expect will be well over 1500
words.. And may even contain pictures.. The review will be emailed first
to all the people on the Horror Fans Anon mailing
list.. Than a day later it will appear on the site.. So if you really
want to hear what I have to say about a film I've waited longer than a year
to see.. Or if you just want to hear an Australian point of view.. sign
up for the HFA mailing list.. Expect to also get email fed Horror news weekly.. CLICK HERE. to sign up.

Michael Rooker has said the following about the upcoming film "6th Day" that he is working on wiht Arnie.
The film is is "set about 20 years in the future. Arnold plays a
poor, regular guy who gets in trouble with this huge corporation in the
process of trying to change the political and social mores in regards to
cloning. They already have cloning centers for your pets. Arnold gets accidentally
cloned, then, there are two Arnolds running around, and we've got to figure
out which is the clone, and which is the human, and try to retrieve one
of them. Neither one of them knows that they're anything but the real McCoy.
It gets a little hairy."
Rooker adds, "some of the lines and relationships are a lot of
fun. As long as it doesn't become Keystone Cops, I think it'll be pretty
good." (CSO)

HOW's Horror ranking at the Box office??
James Bond has managed to save the world from horror in Box offices this
week. The damned spy knocked Sixth Sense of the UK charts, Bone Collector
of the Aussie Charts. End of Days in its first week in the US had hardluck
trying to get into the top 3. eXistenZ has unfortunately only been given
a limited release in Australia. However the film seems to have made more
money at film festivals than it has at theactual box office.
